In April 2024, it was announced that Ural Federal University (UrFU) is designing a new internal combustion engine (ICE) for light-duty trucks at its student design bureau (SKB). Using digital modeling, students have developed the design of the new engine and its components. The new engine will be made from domestically produced components and will meet the high environmental standard "Euro-6."
