Russian Railways (RZD) regularly modernizes lighting systems across its facilities and rolling stock. In October 2023, RZD announced the completion of lighting upgrades at the Rzhev-Baltisky station in Tver Oblast. This project included the installation of nine new lighting masts (VOU-30) and over 60 LED fixtures, along with an intelligent lighting control system that automatically adjusts light output and lamp power. This energy-efficient system significantly reduces electricity consumption while improving lighting quality and enhancing train safety.
